Armstrong Legal has been serving clients from its York Street premises, Sydney for over 25 years. Partners Lionel Rattenbury and Peter Magee purchased the practice in 2002, which has since grown very rapidly, boasting three accredited specialists in Criminal Law and Family Law. Their motto is “Service with excellence”.
Lionel Rattenbury, an Accredited Specialist in Criminal Law, has extensive experience as an advocate in the Local and District Courts. He is also a co-author of Butterworths’ Local Court Criminal Practice.
Before opening Armstrong Legal, Lionel served as a Prosecutor for 9 years and has appeared in extremely complex and protracted cases.
He is engaged regularly as a lecturer on Criminal Law subjects by the both College of Law and the Traffic Offenders Program.
Lionel practices exclusively in criminal defence. His sincere yet formidable style has earned him his strong reputation among prosecutors and judges throughout NSW. His knowledge of the criminal justice system and how best to navigate through it puts his clients‘ minds at ease.
